Digital Technology: Implementation Timeline
From September 2021, GCSE Digital Technology, the first in a new suite of general qualifications in this subject area, will be available to centres.
The table below summarises the events and resources that will be available to support teachers to prepare to deliver the qualifications effectively.

WJEC is providing free CPD sessions for practitioners who are interested in or preparing to deliver this new qualification. |

Digital Technology GCSE Support |
Technocamps will be providing a blended learning course to support teachers’ understanding of the digital technology subject area. The course will include a module focusing on video game development and Technocamps will announce further details in 2021. |

Qualifications Wales welcomes Welsh Government’s announcement that schools will be able to purchase Adobe Creative Cloud licences through Hwb at a significantly reduced cost per licence. |

YoYo Games: GamJam |
YoYo Games have launched an education focussed game design competition for secondary school and FE learners, running between 1st and 30th November. Learners can work in terms of 3 to design and make a game using GameMaker software with centres being provided with free temporary software licences in order to participate. |
