Qualifications Wales and WJEC to offer a programme of webinars for GCSE Built Environment teachers

Qualifications Wales is pleased to have approved the new WJEC GCSE Built Environment qualification, which will be available for delivery from September 2021.

The qualification has been designed to introduce learners to, and develop their understanding of, the built environment, including the trades and roles within it, the tools, technologies and materials used in its construction and maintenance, and the processes involved in its design.

To support practitioners to prepare for this qualification effectively, Qualifications Wales is offering a programme of webinars providing industry insight into the content of the new GCSE qualification. The webinars will be delivered by industry leads and supported by WJEC, who will conclude with a summary of how the topic is presented in the new GCSE specification.  These webinars will start in January 2021 and will run on a monthly basis till July 2021.
