Summer 2020
Results overview
One of our key activities as the independent regulator of qualifications in Wales is to oversee the award of GCSE, AS and A level qualifications and the Welsh Baccalaureate. In this section, you will be able to read overview reports of the results for summer 2020 as soon as they are published.
No exams were held this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so the grades have been awarded according to a process approved by us.
We have built a section of our website to explain in detail how the grades were awarded this year.

Results data
As this summer’s results are published, learners and parents will be looking for advice and making decisions on the next steps.
We’ve produced a graphic showing the options available to learners, from post-16 education through apprenticeships and university. We’ve also produced a comprehensive Information Pack for this summer’s results. Below you’ll find information on how to lodge an appeal through your school or college if you’re unhappy with your grade, along with links to help you chart your future course through education and employment.
