ICT teacher workshops

***NEW DATE: 17 April 2018***

Qualifications Wales is currently reviewing GCSEs, A levels and vocational qualifications in ICT (and related subjects), taken by pupils in Wales, and the skills they develop from studying these before starting a career in ICT-related roles.

ICT is recognised as one of the fastest growing industries in Wales. It has been identified as a priority sector for growth by the Welsh Government and the Regional Skills Partnership. This means that in the future it’s likely that there will be more jobs available than qualified learners.

We need your help identifying whether the current ICT qualifications for 16-19 year olds in Wales are fit for purpose – and what they should look like in future. We would like to invite teachers and tutors of these qualifications to take part in a workshop to be held in Newtown, Powys on 27 February 2018 from 10:00am until 2:30pm. Places are free but limited, so will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch will be provided.

The presentation will be delivered through the medium of English but all slides and written materials will be available bilingually.
